Baseball
Rec Baseball Spring 2025 registration is open until March 14.
Player birthdays must fall in the parameters below. TeamSnap registration will only allow you to signup for the correct division based on your player's birthday. (Babe Ruth reg will be extended to accommodate middle school tryout and selection)
Spring Season:
- Starts in late March/Early April with practices.
- Runs through mid June.
- Opening Day will be held at the Arrowhead complex in April.
- 8u, 9/10 and 11/12 age divisions will compete both in Marlton and Medford.
Cost: $175 all upper ages, Quickball $125.00 (Multi-child discount $20; all children must be registered at one time)
Age Groups:
- Quick Ball 4/5 years old (DOB before April 30, 2021): It's all about having fun, as kids learn the basics of proper throwing, fielding, and batting form through the game of T-Ball and Coach Pitch through the very fast-paced "Quick Ball."
- 6 years old (DOB before April 30, 2019)- Batting tee transitioning in coach pitch
7 years old (DOB before April 30, 2018)- Coach Pitch - 8 years old (DOB before April 30, 2017)
9/10 years old (DOB before April 30, 2016) - 11/12 years old (DOB before April 30, 2014)
- Babe Ruth 13-16 years old (DOB before April 30, 2012)
17/18 years old (DOB before April 30, 2008)
Commitment/Schedule:
- 2-3 days/week for Quick Ball (one weeknight and Saturday mornings)
- About 3-4 days per week for all other levels (including occasional Sundays)
Basketball
Registration for Spring Basketball is open now until April 22.
Season: May 6th-June 12th Games: All games 1 a week minimum couple weeks 2 games. Practices: No practices.
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays. Location: Cherokee South Gym (other locations dependent on signups).
League Type: 5on5 or 4on4 . Team Cap: 4 teams of 8 players each, 1 coach per team per division
Divisions:
- 3rd & 4th Grade Currently: DOB btw 10/1/2014 – 9/30/2016 (Boys Teams & Girls Teams)
- 5th & 6th Grade Currently: DOB btw 10/1/2012 – 9/30/2014 (Boys Teams & Girls Teams)
- 7th & 8th Grade Currently: DOB btw 10/1/2010 – 9/30/12 (Boys Only)
- HS currently: DOB btw 9/1/2005– 8/30/2010 (Boys Only)
Football
MRC Spring 2025 7v7 Football registration is open. Registration closes March 2. Rules and divisions below:

Modified 7 on 7 will be comprised of 6 skilled players and 1 dedicated lineman.

The skilled players can align to any standard formation assuming a five person OL. For example, two players will have to be on the line prior to the ball being snapped.

The dedicated lineman will be a Center for Offense and NG for Defense.

The Nose Guard will have to line up in a zero technic, heads up over the center in a three point stance.
-
Unlike on traditional 7 on 7, there will be no 4 second clock.

This will be due to the dedicated NG.

There is an allowance for one blitz per game.
-
The QB will not be able to run past the line of scrimmage.
-
All other traditional Offensive and Defensive rules will in place.

All players will wear a soft shell helmet during the game.

All events at Evesboro Downs. Sundays nights 6-730, short practice before the game. Pre-season 3/16 and 3/23, regular season 3/30 for five weeks with Easter off. Playoffs May 4 and 11.
Flag Football
Spring Flag Football Registration is open December 20 to March 8.
Play with your friends, teams are co-ed by grade level K-8. Games are Sundays at Evesboro Downs from April through May.
Registration $115 includes team jersey, flags and belt.
The spring season will run approximately 3/22 - 5/24.
Tentative schedule will be Sundays 9am (k-1), 10:15am (2-3), 11:30am (4-5), 12:45pm (6-8). Flag is organized by grade, not birth date.
Hockey
We will be accepting Spring 2025 Rec Season registrations through March 10th. A late fee of $40.00 will be applied to all registrations beginning March 11.
**A multi-child discount will be applied at time of registration, but all children must be registered at the same time by March 10.**
NOTE: NO PLAYERS WILL BE ASSIGNED TO A TEAM AFTER THE LEAGUE DRAFT.
MRC Hockey attempts to roster competitive teams based on player ability, with each team being assigned players with a variety of skill levels. In direct terms, late registrations hurt the integrity and competitiveness of the program. Players are drafted and rostered in late March.
Season will run April through mid-June with games-only. Chipmunk division does not hold playoffs.
We do not accept player/team request. All players are drafted, assistant coaches help on the team that your child is drafted on.

Softball
Softball Recreation 2025 Spring registration will be open December 20 to March 1. Registrations between March 2 and March 10 will incur a $40 late fee.
Spring softball includes one practice per week and one game per week. Specific days are not set yet for practices. Games are usually always Saturdays.
Softball registration is open for the following divisions:
- Grades K-1 $135.00
- Grades 2-3 $135.00
- Grades 4-5 $155.00
- Grades 6-7-8-9 $165.00 (Hard close date of March 1, no late reg)
Track & Field
Track and Field Spring 2025 registration is open January 15, 2025 through March 7, 2025. The fee for the season is $140.00. All children will receive a uniform and t-shirt.
Practices will be Mon and Wed for children 10 and under and Tues and Thursday for children 11 and older (see age specifications below). Many athletes have conflicts with other commitments and we will accommodate as best we can.
Track meets will begin in April (weather permitting) and we be held on Saturday mornings with the exception of a few Saturday afternoons
All athletes must be 8 years of age or turn 8 prior to December 31, 2024. We will accept children 6-8 when accompanied by a parent who is coaching.
We will need volunteers to be head and assistant coaches for the following ages groups:
- Boys and Girls 8 and under*
- Boys and Girls 9-10*
- Boys and Girls 11 and up*
*Based on the age the child will turn in 2025 not the age they will be at registration
For the U8 Participants, we will be looking for a ratio of 5 athletes to one coach at the U8 level parents are encouraged to volunteer and registration will be limited.

Volleyball
Spring 2025 Volleyball clinics reg is open Feb 11 to Mar 7. The schedule for clinics is dependent upon the division and gym availability, and no specific information is available for practices and games. Practices and games will be at the Cherokee gyms. Cost for the season is variable, see below.
Divisions:
- Co-ed 3rd/4th grade $50
- Co-ed 5th/6th grade $50
- Girls 7th/8th grade $50
- We will be holding sessions for "8th Grade Girls HS Prep" HS Prep only is $50
- If you want to participate in Girls 7/8 AND HS Prep maximizing clinic time, the fee is $80
We are looking for coaches to help in the fall. All coaches must be certified through the MRC.
Sports Unity Program
The Sports Unity Program (SUP) provides the opportunity for children with special needs, age 5-21, to participate in organized sports in a fun, inclusive environment. We run programs through the year, check out the SUP page HERE for any open registrations!
